Business Done with Old Fashioned Values

Succession Planning

A Mission Statement: Old Hat New Hat

2024 saw my son Harry Williams start his career at WPM, as a Trainee Surveyor.
The latter part of last year, was spent working closely in bringing Harry up to speed on the world of property development and investment, specifically.

Working in this industry for more years than I would care to mention, I am intent on passing my “pearls of wisdom” on to the next generation… call it a succession planning, I call it good sense.

And whilst the use of technology amongst the younger generations allows time-efficiency, moving them to the head of the game, some of the more traditional values have perhaps (definitely) fallen by the wayside.

I continue to impress upon every single one of my team, the importance of face-to-face meetings, picking up the phone and good old-fashioned penmanship.

Because, in a world which is moving faster than ever before (no more winding for this bobbin)! I fear that we might forget how business is done best, which is with a handshake, a bite to eat and a hand-signed contract.

Call me old-fashioned, but these are the things which I learned make all the difference.
One thing is for sure, with an exceptional team surrounding me, we will continue to deliver the best service possible for our all-important clients, whilst endeavouring to embrace the old and the new.
