Growing Green Business Event

Inspire change. Build resilience. Go green. Don’t miss our Green & Resilient Business Masterclass — learn from world-class leaders, connect, and take action

Yorkshire businesses of all shapes and sizes are being invited to a transformative event that will help businesses in our region unlock the potential of going green to enable growth and reduce risks – win:win!

On Thursday, 4 September, leaders, innovators, and forward-thinking organisations will gather at The Green Estate’s Manor Oaks House in Sheffield for the “Growing Green & Resilient Businesses Masterclass”—a dynamic, full-day experience designed to inspire and equip local businesses to thrive while facing climate, ecological, and social challenges.

The masterclass packs a powerful agenda: expert presentations and hands-on workshops from some of the UK’s most influential sustainability leaders.

These include Mike Barry, famed for steering Marks & Spencer’s award-winning Plan A programme, and Doogie Black, CEO of Climate Sense and mastermind behind pioneering climate resilience standards.

Other high-profile speakers include Rosa Foster, Director of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission; Camilla Timms of the National Trust; Andy Sheppard from Arup; Tom Curtis of 3Keel; and Louisa Harrison-Walker OBE, CEO at the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn practical strategies for greener, more resilient business models, connect with like-minded professionals, and discover how Yorkshire and Humber companies are leading the sustainability charge.

With all-day refreshments, networking breaks, and lunch from The Rhubarb Shed Café, the event promises inspiration in a spectacular heritage setting overlooking Sheffield.

Tickets are priced to encourage participation (£35 standard, £70 “pay it forward” with free sponsored places available on application), making this a must-attend for any organisation ready to step up their green ambitions. Spaces are limited, so Yorkshire businesses eager to future-proof themselves should secure their spot now and join the region’s movement towards a sustainable future.

The event is brought to you by The Green Estate CIC (recently named British Chambers ‘Green Innovation Business of the Year’), Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, and the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission, with support from the UKRI Yorkshire and Humber Policy Innovation Partnership.
