Leeds Chambers wins “Chambers of the Year” Award

New Park Court Chambers wins Chambers of the Year Award

Last week, New Park Court Chambers were delighted to be crowned Chambers of the Year at the esteemed British Legal Awards 2024.

The Chambers, based in Leeds and Newcastle, faced tough competition from across the country and were the only Chambers outside of London to ultimately be shortlisted in the Chambers of the Year category.

The judges highlighted the quality of New Park Court Chambers’ legal expertise, work and people, camaraderie, and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Rob Wagg, CEO of New Park Court, said, “I am truly humbled and thrilled that we have been recognised as Chambers of the Year. I see every day the expertise, commitment, time, energy, and effort that everyone pours into driving us towards, collectively, being the best we can be. A special thank you to our clients and all those who instruct us. It is our working together that allows our people to be showcased and to shine, and for that, we are very grateful.”

This recent award builds on other notable successes this year. New Park Court Chambers won “Team of the Year – Crime & Regulatory” in June at the Northern Law Awards. Judges said, “In a category boasting an exceptionally high calibre of candidates, our winning team’s many innovative changes, led by their impressive CEO, Rob Wagg, demonstrated a commitment to legal expertise and excellent client service supported by glowing feedback and a cohesive unit of barristers.”

With a total of 74 barristers, including 14 King’s Counsel and several high profile, nationally and internationally reputed junior counsel, New Park Court Chambers’ reach and influence stretches far beyond the bounds of the North Eastern Circuit. They are a Tier 1 ranked Set with a leading reputation for conducting significant and substantial cases in inquests and inquiries, professional discipline, major crime, regulatory law, civil and family cases, as well as in complex health and safety matters.
