Partou, one of the UK’s largest day nursery providers, has signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge, a nationwide campaign led by the charity Wellbeing of Women that calls on employers to take practical action to support everyone experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

To support this commitment, it has also launched ‘Partou & You: Talking Menopause,’ a new hub offering practical resources, guidance and support for Partou team members and managers at its Nursery Support Centre and more than 100 settings around the country including numerous nurseries in Yorkshire.

Josie Mortimer, Partou People and Culture Director, said: “We’re proud to sign the Wellbeing of Women Menopause Workplace Pledge.

“This follows valuable feedback from our team members who told us they wanted greater understanding, clearer support and more open conversations around menopause.

“Many people continue to thrive at work during menopause.

“However, there may be times when extra support or a temporary adjustment might assist.

“We have therefore launched an internal hub to help Partou team members better understand the symptoms, take simple practical steps and feel confident talking about the support that would make a difference.”

Resources available in the hub include full details of Partou’s menopause policy and a support guide with an introduction to menopause, common symptoms, how it can affect work and where to find support.

There is also a personal toolkit to help team members access trusted information, and a symptom tracker to identify patterns and aid conversations with healthcare professionals or managers.

Additionally, guidance is provided on how to access a dedicated menopause support line, together with advice from Wellbeing of Women on how to build understanding and confidence around menopause.

Josie added: “By listening to our people and taking meaningful action, we’re helping to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace for everyone at Partou.”
