PJ Staffing Named Charitable Business of the Year at Yorkshire Choice Awards 2026

PJ Staffing has been voted Charitable Business of the Year 2026 at the Yorkshire Choice Awards, recognising the company’s exceptional commitment to supporting children with cancer and their families through its fundraising and volunteering efforts for Candlelighters.

The award was presented during the tenth anniversary Yorkshire Choice Awards ceremony, which celebrates the individuals, businesses, charities and organisations making a positive difference across the region.

PJ Staffing, based in Leeds, beat strong competition from fellow finalists to secure the Yorkshire-wide accolade. The company received the award in recognition of its longstanding support for Candlelighters, for whom they have raised in excess of £20,000 over the last year. As a Club Candlelighters Guardian member, PJ Staffing has exceeded its fundraising commitments while generating vital awareness for children and families affected by cancer.

Led by Managing Director Paul McCallum, the team has gone on to embrace a wide range of fundraising and volunteering initiatives, including endurance challenges, volunteering at major charity events and organising the successful Pink It Up Weekender. They have also set their sites on supporting the Leeds’ LGBT+ community by sponsoring Pride festivities and gathering and distributing donations at Christmas for people experiencing homelessness.

The Yorkshire Choice Awards judges praised PJ Staffing’s commitment to charitable giving and community impact, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to support Candlelighters and make a meaningful difference across Yorkshire.
