Successful Magnesium Observational Case Study
Over the past year, we at Harrogate Organics have been exploring how our customers use our topical magnesium spray as part of their daily routines. We’ve always been passionate about creating products that support moments of calm and help people unwind, so we wanted to better understand our community’s experiences in a more personal way.
To do this, we invited a small group of six volunteers—men and women from their late twenties to late sixties—to join us on an observational study between 2024 and 2025. Our aim wasn’t to test the effectiveness of our popular Magnesium Spray, but simply to listen, learn and gather genuine feedback about how people incorporate it into their own wellbeing habits.
What We Asked Participants to Do
We asked each volunteer to use the spray twice a day, as part of their normal routine, and to jot down how they felt each morning. With the support of The Brain Collective, participants also completed Cognitive Performance Tests (CPT) and QEEG assessments. These assessments were there to give participants a deeper look into their own cognitive and brain activity patterns, rather than to measure any outcomes related to the product.
What Participants Shared with Us
Throughout the study, participants told us about their day-to-day experiences. Some described feeling more settled during their evening wind-down, while others mentioned waking up feeling more refreshed or noticing shifts in their general sleep routines.
Every experience was unique, and all insights were self-reported, meaning they reflect personal perceptions rather than measurable effects from the spray.

A Note on What This Study Means
Because this was a small, exploratory project without controls, the findings can’t be used to draw conclusions about the product’s impact on sleep, tiredness, fatigue or any other health-related area. We also want to be clear that scientifically approved health claims for magnesium apply only to magnesium consumed as part of the diet, not topical applications.
Our purpose here is simply to share what we’ve learned from the people who chose to take part and to continue understanding how our products fit into everyday life.
