In the heart of West Tanfield, at the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales, a new kind of wellbeing centre is preparing to open its doors — one rooted not just in science, but in lived experience, compassion and community.

Flow Yorkshire, launching in Spring 2026, has been created by Neil and Allanah Bourne-Arton, after decades navigating ADHD, Autism and related health challenges within their own family. What began as a deeply personal search for answers and meaningful support, has grown into a community-focused initiative, designed to help other individuals and families feel less alone, as clarity and healing become possible.

Flow is also a response to the significant barriers and waiting times many individuals and families face when seeking timely support through statutory services. To this end, the Flow Foundation has been established to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent families from receiving timely support. Five percent of every paid therapy programme within Flow, as well as ongoing dedicated fundraising, will go directly towards subsidising treatment for those who need it most, delivering support with dignity and care.

“We remember what it felt like to be overwhelmed, exhausted and unsure where to turn,” say the founders. “When we found approaches that truly helped our son and restored balance to our family, we knew we had to create a space where others could access that same support.”

Offering non-invasive, integrative therapies focused on calming the nervous system, reducing inflammation, supporting the gut-brain connection and restoring regulation, Flow’s services will support individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, low mood, sleep challenges and sensory overwhelm, and all that arises as a result.

Therapies offered include:
• Neurosonic – low-frequency sound and vibration therapy
• Neuromodulation – supporting the Central and Autonomic Nervous System
• Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy – grounding, reducing inflammation and improving circulation
• Red Light Therapy – reducing inflammation and improving circulation, stimulating energy production from the cells
• Health screening and genetic testing
• Audio Visual Entrainment (AVE) – Sound and light therapy
• Counselling and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – for children and adults
• Nutritional guidance
• Medicinal Herbs
• Holistic Life Coaching

While the centre will primarily serve the local community, remote consultations will also be available. Those choosing to travel from further afield, to use the modalities on offer within Flow, will benefit from priority rates at beautiful riverside accommodation, within walking distance of the centre.

Set within the soul soothing North Yorkshire countryside, within easy access to all major roads, Flow Yorkshire hopes to become not just a transformative therapy space, but a calm, restorative hub for families seeking steadier ground.
