Ficep UK invests in headquarter expansion to support growth

Strong demand for structural steel processing equipment has driven expansion plans for Ficep UK as the business prepares to invest in an extension for its Yorkshire headquarters.

The UK’s leading steel fabrication machinery supplier, Ficep UK has had planning permission approved to extend its existing 1,708m2 premises on the Wakefield Europort industrial estate by 658m2. Additional warehouse space will provide a dedicated area for new stock machines as well as space for second-hand machines for repair and resale. It will also provide additional storage space for spare parts, tooling and consumables and saw blades, including an additional 84 pallet spaces.

The expansion will benefit staff with additional office space and meeting rooms, a large breakout area and a new dedicated workshop for apprentice training. The completed project will include an enlarged and improved showroom equipped with Ficep machines, providing an enhanced experience for customers. Finally, a dedicated training centre and updated reception area will help the business continue to enhance its support of its UK customers.

Richard Clark, managing director of Ficep UK, says: “This is a very exciting time for the business. Our growing success combined with our future goals mean we have simply outgrown the building we moved into almost 20 years ago. However, we are very happy in this location, so to future proof the building from both a stock and employee point of view we decided to invest and create more space.
