Lights, Camera, Event, Action:
How to Harness Event and Video Production to Grow Your Business

Global event specialists Virtual Approval and creative video agency Reel Film are teaming up for an interactive workshop designed to help marketing and events professionals get more from their budgets and deliver greater impact.

Taking place in Leeds on Thursday 5th June, the one-hour workshop will be hosted by Rachel Locke, founder of Virtual Approval, and Adam Chandler, founder of Reel Film and is free to attend. The session is aimed at business owners, marketing teams, and event professionals who want to ensure their events are results-driven, and that video is used strategically to supercharge every stage of the experience.

Rachel and Adam have worked together for several years on campaigns for major organisations, including the NHS and international agency network Agency Hackers. Now, they’re sharing their approach to combining smart video production with immersive event design to drive measurable marketing results.

“Teams often invest in video just to capture a nice recap of an event—but that’s not where the real superpower lies,” says Adam Chandler, founder of Reel Film.

“We know video budgets are often tight, so we’ll showcase how to make smart investments—capturing content before, during and after an event to create versatile, segmented assets that drive value across multiple channels.”

Virtual Approval director Rachel adds, “We all understand the power of connection, but it’s easy to lose focus and create content just for content’s sake—and overlook the awesome opportunity that comes with hosting events. With some strategic planning, you can design virtual, hybrid or in-person experiences that genuinely connect with your audience and deliver measurable value—for them and for you.

This workshop is designed to help people either kick-start or realign their approach—and leave with clarity and a clear plan.”

The ‘Events & Video: supercharged’ workshop takes place from 8:30am to 10:30am at Department Leeds Dock. Attendees will leave with a personalised event concept and video storyboard—ready to turn ideas into action.

In addition to expert insights, the morning includes moments of connection, designed to help attendees identify and connect with relevant contacts in the room—whether that’s potential collaborators, suppliers, or clients.
