A new collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes will soon be on sale in the market town of Pocklington.

Located less than a mile from the town centre, Redrow is preparing to launch its Highgrove Gardens development, which will feature 60 properties from its Arts and Crafts-inspired Heritage Collection.

Launching in July, Highgrove Gardens will boast a selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes to meet the needs of a range of buyers from families to downsizers.

Designed around pockets of green open space, the venture will enjoy a rural feel on the edge of woodland and farmland.

It forms part of a larger 380-home development at The Balk, with Barratt and David Wilson Homes already building at the location. The wider scheme includes a play area, allotments and newly planted trees, hedges and shrubs. Bat boxes, bird boxes and bee bricks are also being installed to encourage nature to thrive.

Steve Jackson, sales director for Redrow Yorkshire, said: “Pocklington is a fabulous place to live, with beautiful landscapes as well as strong transport links and excellent amenities. Our range of homes will complement the surrounding developments and bring something different, with our family-friendly layouts and a high specification set to meet a strong demand locally for premium homes.”

Properties will include The Leamington Lifestyle, a three-bedroom detached design which is built on the footprint of what would normally be a four-bedroom property.

The Leamington Lifestyle has an open plan kitchen, dining and family room stretching across the back of the property. The ground floor is completed with a separate lounge, utility and cloakroom. The first floor has three double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, while the main bedroom boasts a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and en-suite.

One of the largest homes on the development will be the five-bedroom Hampstead. This property boasts an open plan kitchen, family and dining area, which spans the width of the house to the rear. There is also a separate spacious lounge, utility and integral double garage. The first floor has five bedrooms, two with their own en-suite, and a family bathroom.

Steve added: “Pocklington is a picturesque market town offering a variety of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs as well as supermarkets, schools, healthcare facilities and other everyday amenities.

“Commuters will appreciate its convenient location, with York just 15 miles away and Hull and Leeds all within an hour’s drive. A reliable local bus service offers regular journeys to York, Hull, and nearby villages, while direct trains from York connect to London, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Sheffield.”
